Our founder, a passionate endurance athlete and a coach, spent years testing products that promised performance but often fell short, leaving an aftertaste, requiring water to wash down, or causing numerous gut issues at the most critical moments of some of his races. He often said, “…these products make fuelling to be another project you have to manage during your race.” Even the better options were often imported, leading to availability issues, and didn’t suit the South African palate.
That’s when Ubis’® Nutrition was born. It started with the desire to create viable options and educate athletes on the science of nutrition and fuelling for optimum performance.
